Wherever you go, wherever you stand in the most Northern part of North-Holland you will always find fishing water. There is the Amstelmeer, the “liniewaters”, the “Noord-Hollands” Channel, The Boatex, several polders in Den Helder, Anna Paulowna and the Wieringermeer. A true El Dorado for the angler! Den Helder and its surroundings offer you a great deal when it concerns game fishing. A variety of species can be found in all different lengths and sizes.
All the different waters with many fish in are guarded for their quality by the local angling association "HSV Den Helder". They work close together with umbrella organisations like “Sportvisserij Nederland” and "Federation North West Netherlands".
Not possessing a boat or having little or no knowledge about the water(s) might stop you going fishing. Perhaps you need tips or clues to improve your fishing-skills.
As a professional fishing guide I can help. As well as many years of fishing-experience on the surrounding waters, I also possess a safe, beautiful and comfortable fishing-boat. The Alumacraft Fisherman 160, is 5 meters long and 2 meters wide. It is powered by a reliable Honda engine with on the side a modern Minn Kota Traxxis for more precision work. The search for course and gamefish (always related) is enhanced by the advanced Lowrance fishfinder with GPS. You can all enjoy this in your very comfortable leather chair.
From the boat you use Daiwa and Abu gear, supplied by Kingfisher Guided Fishing Tours. So no need to bring your own rods. The bait you use comes from the Spro, Mania, Crane and Prologic corner. If you wish you can of course bring your own gear.
Fishing for Pike, Perch and wall-eye is done on one principle only: Catch, Photo and Release!
Your fishing day starts at 08:00 and ends around 16:00. As well as a fair price you will also get a friendly, good-humoured guide, snacks, drinks and a tasty lunch. If you do not possess the necessary licences, I will provide you with one (free and valid for that day only). With that license you are allowed to fish all the waters owned by the Den Helder angling association.
If you have any specific requirements, e.g. the waters you would like to fish, your lunch or the technique you would like to use please tell me in advance so that I can make the necessary arrangements to suit you.
Would you like to stay longer than one day? I can offer you very good arrangements for Bed & Breakfast in “De Brug” at van Ewijcksluis combined with using Kingfisher Guided Fishing Tours as your guide.
If you need to be driven to and from the train station or anywhere near Den Helder, then this can also be arranged. Please advise in advance.
